Saline Removal: How To Prepare & Aftercare

Aftercare Instructions

  • Keep the area clean and dry for the first 48 hours
  • Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the area
  • Do not apply makeup on the area until fully healed
  • Avoid sweating, workouts, swimming, saunas, and steam for 7–10 days
  • Avoid direct sun exposure
  • Do not apply any products unless instructed

The Healing Process

  • Days 1–3: Area may appear red, swollen, and slightly tender
  • Days 3–7: Scabbing will form — this is a normal part of the process
  • Days 7–14: Scabs will begin to naturally fall off
  • Weeks 2–6: Skin continues to heal and lighten

Do not pick scabs — this can affect results and cause scarring.

Saline removal is a gradual process and may require multiple sessions.

  • Allow full healing (6–8 weeks) before your next session
  • Avoid sun exposure to prevent pigmentation issues
  • Keep the area clean and protected during healing
  • Follow all aftercare instructions carefully for best results
